A DEXA Scan for body composition analysis (body fat, lean mass, total bone density, etc.)
A VO2 Max test of cardiorespiratory fitness, done on a stationary bike or treadmill

As few as one.
You’ll join us for your initial 2-hour Assessment Session, which you book first. Then, you can collect your data over 4 weeks at home, and with a single visit to a lab in your area.
For your final Results Review meeting, you can join us in person in Burlington, or you can do this via a video call; that’s entirely up to you! -
We recommend dedicating an average of about 1-2 hours per week to review the educational content we share, and to complete your data collection, gathering insights along the way.
The more attention you can give it, the more benefit you will get! There is enough curated content to keep eager members even busier!
That said, it is flexible over the 4 week period in terms of when you complete each step. Following your in-person assessment session (2 hours), you will visit a lab for bloodwork (once), wear a continuous glucose monitor (10 consecutive days), and take your blood pressure (7 times). At the end, you’ll discuss your results with a physician which can be in-person or remote (45 min.). -
Currently, the Benchmark Physical is intended to be repeated annually or at most about every six months. This will allow you to track changes over time, and create accountability to reassess these metrics, while allowing enough time to see meaningful changes.
Many members check in on their progress in the interim with a DEXA Scan every 3-6 months, or The Benchmark Metabolic every ~6 months.
Your assessments and frequency will depend on your goals and focus areas. We will help you determine the best plan for you. -
No, you don’t need to buy anything!
Blood Pressure
We’ll provide a Blood Pressure monitor, which we’ll ask you to return when you come in for your Results Review, if you choose to do that in-person. Otherwise, we’ll arrange for you to return it by mail. If you would like to purchase it, just let us know.
Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM)
We’ll give you a CGM for your one-time use.
Wearable
We provide you with a WHOOP wearable for 4 weeks to gain daily insights into your sleep, exercise, recovery, and heart rate data. We will incorporate this data into your final Benchmark Report and Results Review.
